The Clinical Nursing Research Unit was established in 2000 to study the complex issues surrounding health and nursing.
Our research aims at offering a focused and visionary contribution to the development of professional nursing practices, with the ultimate aim of providing optimal care and treatment to patients and their families.

Contributing to the advancement of the health sciences in general, nursing science stands at the crossroads of the human, natural and social sciences. Nursing is a dynamic field characterised by great diversity and complexity. To accommodate the different research questions and fields under study, a variety of research methods and triangulations between them are employed.
